Kavala (in ancient times "Neapolis", in Byzantium "Christoupolis" and until 1928 "Kavala") is a city in Macedonia, seat of the municipality of Kavala and capital of the Regional Unit of Kavala in Eastern Macedonia. It is built amphitheatrically at the foot of Mount Symbol while access to the city is easy via the Egnatia Highway is 650 km from Athens and 153 km from Thessaloniki. The history of the city dates back to prehistoric times and extends to the present day. References to it on the one hand are lost in the Homeric narratives and on the other are recorded in the archives of the Athenian Alliance. On the one hand the city became world famous for the arrival of the democratic troops of the Roman Empire in view of the historic battle of Philippi and on the other for the arrival of the Apostle Paul in 49 AD, making Naples (today's Kavala) the first European city who accepted Christianity. There is today the monument of the Apostle Paul, outside the Church of Agios Nikolaos in the center of Kavala, in memory of the arrival of the Apostle Paul. It is famous for the majestic works of the Byzantines and Turks (such as the Castle, Kamares) as well as for being the birthplace of Mehmet Ali, regent of Egypt. At the same time, the recent history of the city is equally interesting, both for the tobacco industry and the first strikes in the Balkans (1896) and for the rich industrial activity dominated by that of black gold. Kavala has numerous beaches, places for rest and hiking trails. It is one of the few cities in Greece that has 4 organized beaches within its urban fabric. On the east side of the city, where our accommodation is located, is the beach of Perigiali, the organized beach bar Branas Resort, the beach of Aspri Ammos, followed by that of Nea Karvali and the sandy tongue of Keramoti. West, the beach of Rapsani, the municipal beach of Kalamitsa. Further west, if you follow this road you will find the wonderful organized or not organized, big and small beaches of Palio, Nea Iraklitsa, which is a beautiful, picturesque village and Nea Peramos. Next to Nea Peramos are the Sand Dunes with turquoise waters and wonderful sandy beaches.

OUR REVIEWS
Accommodation for every recommendation!, Jelena, Serbia
The apartment is fantastic, very functional and spacious, equipped to the smallest detail, as if you were in your own house. The owners are very pleasant and cordial. They welcomed us in the accommodation and gave us all the important information about the accommodation and the city itself. Anyway, we liked everything
I want to live there!, Hristina, Bulgaria
The place is awesome! The photos present it very well. The host thinks for everything - coffee, salt and other products in the kitchen. There are soap, shampoo and others in the bathroom. Air conditioning saves us!
